The Miss Island Queen competition is the heart and soul of Key West! This vibrant competition pairs local personalities with legendary drag coaches for six weeks of non-stop, show-stopping fundraising!
This high-voltage journey explodes into a spectacular grand finale on May 4th – and every single dollar goes directly to Samuel's House! This incredible 501(c)(3) nonprofit provides essential shelter, resources, support and a fresh start for women, children, and families in crisis.

If you’ve spent any time in Key West, chances are you’ve heard the name Scottie Jahn—and if you haven’t, you probably will before the day is over. Around here, Scottie is known as one of the island’s “giants”… not only because he towers over most people physically as one of the island’s tallest locals, but also because he’s part of that small handful of locals who truly help make this island tick.
In a town full of big personalities, Scottie stands out as one of the good ones. He knows everyone, helps anyone, and has been part of what makes this island feel like home for so many of us.
Now Scottie is turning that same big-hearted energy toward this fundraising effort. If there’s one thing the island knows, it’s that when one of our own steps up, the rest of the island shows up too.
After all, giants don’t stand alone—they’re lifted up by the community that helped make them one in the first place.
Q-Mitch is one of Key West’s most beloved drag entertainers—equal parts glamour, sass, and heart. Known for his signature bearded-queen look, dazzling costumes, and quick-witted humor, Q-Mitch has become a staple of the island’s vibrant nightlife. Whether he’s hosting outrageous drag bingo, cracking jokes with the crowd, or turning a stage into a full-on party, he brings infectious energy wherever he goes.
Beyond the sequins and punchlines, Q-Mitch is also known for giving back, helping raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities through his shows.
In true Key West style, he proves that drag can be fabulous, funny, and fiercely community-minded all at once.
